After 10 plus years of extremely hard use, the finish on the outside of my wooden peugeot pepper mill has become dull and worn. What would you recommend I rub or treat this wood with to bring back a good shine? The mill works fine and the wear on the outside may enhance its looks but I don't want to alter or contaminate the taste of the pepper as I use the mill every day. Thanks

We would recommend that you rub a bit of mineral or vegetable oil on the wood as this will help to prevent the mill from drying out. If you rub the oil into the wood it should help the wood regain or maintain colour and also protect it against wear. Here is the link to our care guides on the site:
