Can I use Geo Salt in my Peugeot Tahiti Salt Mill?

19th February 2010 13:24

The short answer is no, you can't use Geo salt in the Peugeot Tahiti mills. As I understand it, the Geo salt is quite a wet sea salt, not a dry sea or rock salt, and it is very likely to clog up the mechanism. This can be sorted out by cleaning the mechanism with a small brush, but the clogging will repeatedly occur.

The brand of salt we recommend for the Peugeot Tahiti mills that is easy to obtain is the Tidman's rock salt that you find in most large supermarkets.

For the Geo Salt or other wet sea salts, we would recommend the CrushGrind wooden mills. All the CrushGrind mills have the same ceramic in them, but because the wet sea salt is quite a corrosive material, it is better to have a wooden mill body.
